I'm a member of a group on FB called The Veterinary Wound Library... (Bandaging Angels) - Georgie Hollis (!!! superstar!!) founded it and veterinary professionals in the group ask questions, share info get advice on all sorts of wounds management.

If your status as a veterinary professional is not clear on your own FB profile then you'll need to send a PM explaining who you are and what you do to gain acceptance to the group, as it is not a public one.

Am sure you'll get loads of useful advice.

From a clinical perspective I'm not sure of the actual statistics on improved wound healing but from a nursing perspective, a pain in the ass! Expensive and bulky, patient interference a nightmare! They can chew the tubes, even with a buster collar..
