We have a 13yo cat with asthma, acromegaly, and diabetes who is on it, but he is the only case I've ever seen of it being used. Anyone else?

RE: Use of Glargine insulin in diabetic cats
yep we often use Glargine, very good
cool beans! He's a fun case due to all his complications. He's luckily a very well behaved, chilled out cat which makes life a lot easier.

RE: Use of Glargine insulin in diabetic cats

yep we often use Glargine, very good (although used off cascade) longer acting, less dramatic peaks/troughs

RE: Use of Glargine insulin in diabetic cats

Hi, my cat has been on glargine since 2013. She has been a very difficult case to stabilise and she was switched to glargine from caninsulin to provide a more stable and less peak & trough blood glucose level. Do you have any particular issues with the glargine? The RVC diabetic remission clinic are well worth contacting, as they offer a lot of support & advice to practices and owners.
