Does anyone have a protocol/what they do between appointments/any official guidelines they'd be willing to share? #

We ask owners to keep dogs outside then take them through side door. Though i know side door not always an option. Would be interesting to hear what other practices do.

RE: Kennel Cough Protocols
We also need to educated clients that this is not just a kennel cough but can be caught anywhere. Training classes, the park.etc.
definitely - I would say only about a 1/3 of our cases had actually been in kennels

RE: Kennel Cough Protocols
That's fab though, thank you so much!

Haha, we had that too Sal, you wonder what goes through people's heads sometimes...or doesn't, really.

Alternatively they wait in the car and are seen at the very end of surgery. We saw quite a few cases in the lead up to Christmas but thankfully is tailing off now. We still had people putting dogs into kennels before christmas leaving it till the very last minute to get them vaccinated tho

RE: Kennel Cough Protocols

We normally ask the client to wait in the car with the dog before their appointment. We then bring them in to the rear of the building which bypasses reception.
