&lt;p&gt;How long are the patients with you? do you have a physio on site?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;With regards to peanut balls, balance boards etc - with many spinal conditions these wouldn&amp;#39;t really be necessary until 18 days plus post surgery usually.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Days 1-10: focus for management is on pain relief, wound care, bladder control.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Modalities such as PEMFT and manual therapies would be best used within this time frame.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Days 11-20: Generally focus for management is bladder and bowel control, proprioception training and normalising muscle tone with very short hydro being preferred (5 mins max) and manual and therapeutic exercises.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Days 21-60: this is when equipment becomes more useful for spinal patients.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
