We will be changing our anaesthetic machines shortly, we are currently looking at the Humphrey ADE and Darvall.
My nurses and I went to see the Humphrey ADE at BSAVA and were impressed by its ease of use, cost effectiveness and safety.
I have used the humphreys quite alot. It takes some getting used to in the beginning, as your flow rates are so much lower than you would be used to and your bag size stays at size 2 up till 50kg. The one thing i find that is absolutely necessary when using this system is that the circuit needs to be flushed before connecting to the patient (ie turn the o2 and iso on, block the end that connects to the patient and flush it through) as it takes a while for the iso to get to the patient if not flushed and I have had a patient who didn't sleep properly when i didn't do this. Otherwise i think it is awesome and saves you a load of o2.

I have only used it on Iso machines, but not sure if this makes a difference.

Hope this helps!
