&lt;p&gt;What really helped me as I am a visual learner.&amp;nbsp; Don&amp;#39;t laugh but I used my cat shaped door stop and sewed labels on it!!! It really worked for me.&amp;nbsp; You will be glad to hear I have now cut the labels off&lt;img src="/emoticons/new/Very_happy_smiley.png" alt="Very Happy" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

For example rostrel rhymes with nostril, towards the nose. Cranial sounds like cranium toward the head and distal sounds like distant so therefore is further away from the body on a limb. Proximal sounds like proximity which means close. Lateral rhymes with flat so used to remember this by them lying flat on their side.&lt;/p&gt;

I think I need pictures !!
