Ive found lots of articles on wanting to change the role so the nurse has more responsibility but can&#39;t seem to find any outcomeen-USTelligent Community 10https://www.vetnurse.co.uk/thread/164486?ContentTypeID=1Thu, 07 Apr 2016 11:59:16 GMT1a0763ec-3885-442c-853e-6cef656dfec5:cff8bfa7-861e-4718-a6ab-a5c8d0ec892dmaylane<p>I do an anaesthesia only role, the reality of what nurses actually have to do and what we are technically permitted to do is a tricky one. &nbsp;</p> <p>I would love for there to be a uk post grad nursing certificate / diploma in anaesthesia as an alternative to the VTS that would sit in our higher education framework, in the hope that nurses could be recognised as being qualified and capable of accepting more responsibility for anaesthesia. I know Harper Adams has started running some post grad certs but sadly not in anaesthesia yet and the improve cert is not at a high enough level.
