just had a look at it, we used to have the older version floating around work. To be honest, i think Welsh - Anaesthesia for Veterinary Nurses is better, if you are looking for a specific nurse related book and i wouldn't say there is a much that you want want to update about it.

Thanks guys. I've just seen this book that's out in May but I'm not sure if it will be useful as its American? It's called anesthesia and analgesia by John Thomas - anyone any thoughts?

Depends on what you're looking for

Anaesthesia for Veterinary Nurses by Liz Welsh is a good all round book for general practice.

I use Dugdale's principle to practice quite a lot, its not an expensive book either. Lumb and Jones is very comprehensive but its about twice the price.

alternatively the new BSAVA manual is out in the Summer

The Liz Welsh one is good, I also use Veterinary anesthesia principle to practice by Dugdale which I find good.
