That will give you an overview of application guidelines.

I've found mostly papers on the different solutions that can be used not methods! I've found a couple of papers from the veterinary nursing, VNJ and there's one from companion animal but struggling to get access to that one. I'd love some human nursing ones but they are also proving hard to get hold of!

I've got a couple but it's clearly a subject that needs more study!

Don't mind at all!

You can arrange it by PM here or you can phone the office on 01403 791313. Depending on where you are in the country we can normally find a date within a couple of weeks that is suitable.

The sessions are completely free and include training and samples of the surgical applicators we distribute.

More importantly we strive to get the theatre team identifying areas where they could make improvements themselves (hence the SOP template).

For instance...

Go and have a look at the toothbrush you clean the clippers with...

I'll lay a hefty bet it is less than clean?

Hi Rob,

I hope you don't mind me getting involved in this convo! Are the sessions free of charge? How do I go about arranging that at my practice. I'm pretty happy with the prep we have in place, but always struggle with clipper rash. I've printed off your SOP for a read.

Hi....

No need to google... I'm right here!

We visit practices (preferably during a morning ops list) to train staff in skin prep methods. If you are reluctant to let me go poking roung the prep area we do round table sessions with fake skin as well.

All the sessions are free (so it shouldn't be too difficult to convince practices )

We will have a stand at BVNA next month or just PM me for more information.

Google invictavet- apparently Rob Watkins does a very good CPD on this, I am currently trying to convince our practice to ask him to come visit too :)
