We have one hiding in the back of the fridge but the 50 dose vial is no way viable for us, just no way we could get 5 of our rabbit owners in on one day let alone in 4 hours

I have worked it out that even if we could get most of our rabbit owners in on the same day (more chance of all your numbers coming up on the lottery) and if we cut our consult times to 10 mins instead of 15 and if we saw nothing else but rabbits that day (and that would never happen) with us being a 2 vet practice we still couldn't vaccinate anywhere near 50 rabbits in a day!

the news of the vaccine shortage has obviously been on the owner forums - we did 2 vaccs yesterday morning and have another 2 booked for tomorrow (usually we are lucky to see one a month) and have had a few requests from people who use other practices who have run out. I have 3 doses left that are not already allocated and then thats it

I got letter from MSD yesterday saying delay will be until november 2015 but looking at getting a 50 dose vial out for mid september but only viable for 4 HOURS once reconstituted. So you'd have to get bunnies in one consult block.

Im hoping to speak to my rep on monday as we only have 16 doses left in stock and centaur are now out of stock of them.

Our MSD rep was talking to us about this on Wednesday... Apparently the 50 dose vials are more for the food industry!

An email from MSD to my work states there will be a shortage until end of October. In the meantime they are working to get out a 50 dose vial from mid September. I can forward you the email if you would like?
