I managed to put together some packs of information from suppliers, including vouchers. I received some samples from both Burgess and Supreme science and made up small gift packs for clients. My practice also purchased some goodies such as combs / chews / toys and these made up the goody bags.

I created checklists and small questionnaires to follow during the consults and contacted many existing clients (plus advertised on our facebook page) that we are holding free rabbit health checks for the fortnight to coindice with RAW.

So far, it has been successful I have learnt so much and recapped on my knowledge. Ive even got bunny broody (but two dogs put stop to that!) Ive had so much fun and we still have a week left.....

The whole experience is a learning curve and I have regained confidence in many aspects. I really love my job and having the opportunity to put my skills into practice has been so rewarding.

I will keep you posted xx

RE: HELP FOR RABBIT AWARENESS WEEK

we're running a rabbit awareness month, free health checks and discount myxo vaccs for the month.

I've made goodie bags that are representative of what a daily rabbit diet should be- ie. a huge brown bag full of hay with a very small bag of treats. Leaflets are at the bottom ;)

I have always done free rabbit health checks. You can do a promotion like money off food or hay or free nail clip during the appointment. Do a health check like check incisors, ears, bottom, skin, fur etc. Talk to the owner, ask if their rabbit has a companion. If not recommend a nearby rabbit rescue. Go through rabbit welfare like neutering, company, housing/environment, vaccinations etc.

You could run a competition. If your practice has facebook you could run a photo competition. I have done a quiz in the past, hand them out and pick a winner at the end of the week. The prize could be a free bag of hay, a free vaccination etc. I have also done a comp for kids, like draw a picture of your bunny and the winner got a cuddly toy.

Use lots of visuals, so put a pack together with leaflets. RWA has lots of good leaflets. You could put in free samples of food or hay in these. I have also done things like an open day so invited the public and did fundraisers for local rabbit rescues. More planning goes in to this though. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

RE: HELP FOR RABBIT AWARENESS WEEK

**Bump**
