Hi, I'm doing the exam soon just wondered if you have any pointers for me, I'm more worried about the `practical side` thank you for any help you can give :v)

Ah I see, so you get one certificate at the end for 60 hours as opposed to one after every assignment for 3 hours.

Hi there,

I received a CPD cert at the end of the whole course, once i had completed and returned all the assignments for each unit.

I logged mine all at once after I had received the certificate, although I'm not sure if it really matters when you do this, it is just a bit of a long winded task to do all at once, but once it is done it's done. Hope this helped

Hi guys,

sorry to resurrect this old thread but I've got couple questions....

When claiming CPD for the course how is best to do it? As you go along? at the end when you're all finished? I understand each unit is 3 hours of CPD, and it states you get a certificate for each unit completed. Is that automatic? I've received no CPD certificates as I'm going along and I've completed the first units (the entire avian one).

Photos of animals, equipment and then 3-5 questions about it or the subject. Each question has a number of marks beside it to give you an idea of how much detail to give.

Some questions I can remember.

Photo of a lepoard tortoise - had to identify (Plus further questions I can't remember)

Photo of 3 different sized crop tubes, which size would you use in African Grey (Plus further questions I can't remember

Some of the photos were difficult to see what they were.

I agrer with Stacey, I walked out of the exam in Nov and was convinced I'd failed. (I passed)

One of the papers I found much better than the others - I think small mammals and wildlife. I'm also sure there was a question on wildlife that had never been covered in the notes - on badgers maybe? I've blanked it out. I also agree that in the practical wrire as much as fast as you can, for some there wasn't enough time.

When I walked out I thought I had failed in all honesty! The practicals were much harder than I thought! Where I wasn't sure what the question wanted from me I wrote everything I knew around the question. The practical answers do not give you much time to answer so you can't hang around! The multiple choice questions are much easier because you can generally work out the answer but I would recommend reading the question first with the answers covered first and thinking about what your immediate answer would be. If it's one if the choices you are probably right!

Currently trying to revise as much as humanly possible but it still doesn't feel enough.
