Fossum is my point of reference for everything surgical and its written in a way that is easily understandable for nurses, maybe you could get it out of your cod budget?

I have the above book, have used it a couple of times, but i usually read Fossum if i'm prepping for a surgery i haven't done for a while. Fossum's expensive but i believe its available online or you may have it in your practice library
