Hey, Braid are looking for a part-time vet nurse just now and vets-now Edinburgh may take you on part-time/locum, give them a shout :) oh and PDSA Edinburgh were looking the other week so try them too! Good luck, there are hardly ever any jobs round here anymore, think everyone is staying put for now!!

Hi STRVN,

Apparently some time ago Salus went into administration and we bought what was left of their business. I wasn't aware of this until this morning. It seems all those people who were previously registered with Salus are being contacted by us. I'm glad this has been brought to my attention as we will now try to set an appropriate process in doing this to make sure we don't annoy anyone.

I've just checked our system and I think I may have worked out who you are. Indeed someone did call you on Tuesday and then Alex emailed you on Wednesday. As I'm not 100% sure of who you are I'll call you today to discuss this further and will make sure you aren't contacted by RIG from that point forward if you wish.

If anyone else is in a similar situation feel free to call me or email me any time as we cant do anything about this until we are made aware of who does and doesn't want to be contacted. I always suggest to those permanent nurses who are interested in keeping in contact with good recruitment consultants from time to time, i.e. several times per year, to make the agency aware you are not interested in locum work at all so please only contact me occasionally. It's unfortunate for me as an experienced (consultative) consultant if I cant stay in contact with some people as a result of other recruiters annoying them with too many calls. Most people who give me the time of day do value keeping in contact.

Hi Tom, it seems you also have my e mail as I was sent one today from an Alex Jordan, who was probably the same person who phoned me.

This is getting really creepy now. I know I have never registered with you, and I know none of my friends or collegues would give out my details unless they had my permission.

You dont happen to buy details do you? or aquire them from other locum agencies?

The only agencies that I am registered with are Carlton and A1 and I dont hink for a minute they would give you them, I also made an enquiry once at salus........ but their annoying calls put me right off them, and I never even sent them my CV as the girl kept phoning me all the time, you would think I was due her money the harrasement I got.

I'm sorry you were contact by RIG and am unsure why we have called you if you havent previously registered with us. We do ask people for referals and only call these people if we are granted permission via the referal.

I'd appreciate you either calling me or emailing me so I can make sure you aren't contacted again. I'm not interested in working with unethical recruiters and can understand your frustrations if we havent done the right thing in the past or recently. I'd like to sort this out asap.

Fortunatley for me most people are very happy to hear from us and appreciate us making them aware from time to time regarding suitable positions. I work in permanent recruitment only so I only contact the same person several times per year however our locum side of the business is a lot more active in their call cycles.

If you contact me to make me aware of who you are I'll make sure you arent contacted again.

I'll look forward to hearing from you.

funny that I got a call tonight from someone from Rig vets........ and i can assure you I have never ever been registered with you........ plus it was on my mobile, which I rarely give out the number, so either my number is being "bought" from other related vet things, or there are psychics working for RIG!!!

Thanks for your feedback Nick…. Oh, and for your vote of confidence, lol.

I had actually read the ‘OMG Rig’ thread prior to offering my assistance to Bandit and thought my post might generate some more comments.

The ‘OMG Rig’ thread disappointed us here as none of us want to be seen as not providing a good service to our clients / candidates.

We only call those nurses and vets who have previously registered with us. I, as do my colleagues, try to provide the best possible service therefore any constructive criticism is welcomed.

Hi there was a job advertised for Broadleys in stirling if thats any use - really depends where in scotland your from!Do you get vet times/ vn times as not all jobs are advertised on here and may be bit more up to date.
