I am aware that several people have heard bad things about rig, however we have had a complete change in the last few weeks and times have changed, we have some great staff working here now with a completely diffrent out look. I Understand that our predecessors have a bad reputation and i am astounded about what i have seen and heard.

We have secureed some of the biggest contract across the uk and ireland in the last few weeks and are really building a strong buisness. Niki

Bl**dy Rig................... I was all lined up for locum work next week and out of courtesy I called Rig to catch up with them for any more work. Ends up they hadn't booked back and confirmed with the practice now the practice I was due to work at has boked someone else even though I accepted it all through Justine (Rig Vets).

So now I'm left with 2 dead end days and one of those I had to book off as holiday from me normal practice to ensure I could work at other one. Bl**dy useless organisation...........Shouldn't be allowed to get away with it .....messing up peoples work schedules and co*king up personal finances each month.

All I got was an apology email off Victor and a fob off stroy that ' We've had a lot off new staff recently'.

And that makes it all right does it....................that will pay my bills will it and keep mortgage company happy .....no way!!

God, I am not up with alot of what happens but Rig crap.

Told my friend they would do her tax - they didn't
keep phoning me with quite aggresive " we have jobs acroos the country" stuff when they know I am settled and won't move
I locum for myself and another locum who i work with is through them and gets less for a night than I get for a day!

I know someine from an agency once posted here about recruitement professionalism and regulatory bodies - but think it is all voluntary??

Can we shop them to anyone else?

Well after giving them a piece of my mind, I've had 4 days' peace and thought they'd got the message but no, another guy is now calling me non-stop from Rig instead. Doh! I really feel like recording a message on my voicemail saying that if you are calling from Rig Recruitment, if you leave me one more message, I will have you done for harrassment, that way no matter how little they communicate with one another, they'll all eventually get the message. Trouble is, it doesn't sound very professional for anyone else who may call!

what i do not understand is why people keep using them. they seem to have jobs on there site that are not on any others. please stop taking work to them !! x x

they are terrible! they have phoned me with private number several times too, then 1 time I answered whilst working and told the lady I wasn't happy with her phoning me as I already asked a few months a go to be removed from their system!!!
And then she made some sort of comment as in 'no one wants to stay with us...'
So I told her again to remove me from the system and haven't heared from them since but am waiting for the next round!

They keep contacting me too even tho have never used them! I asked for more info on a job advertised once, which ended up not what I wanted, and ever since I've had text messages and phone calls from them offering jobs. They've even phoned at work (tad embarrasing as I didn't want anyone knowing I was looking around!!!) and asked me if I knew of any vet nurses looking for locum work. The cheek! Grrrrr!

I too have had issues with RIG. They just don't listen to your requirements and then call with the most unsuitable vacancies! Not good!

Am really hoping they will phone again today whilst I can actually answer my phone so I can tell them in no uncertain terms where to go. Doubtful on a Saturday but I suppose it depends how desperate they are to get hold of me!

i wounder if they have finally treated to many people badley and charge to much and are now struggaling. i heared that they took over salus and that some of the salus team left and started there own company. that got to be a blow to rig if they have x x x

Me too! I did a locum for them about 2 years ago, had no end of trouble wih regards to wages and parted company with them on bad terms, I too have had a million and one calls from them over the last few weeks, answered the phone today and told them in no uncertain terms I am not interested in work through them and I do not know anyone who is either!

I think they have such a bad reputation that no one wants to go through them so they are having to call around all the nurses who have ever worked for them trying to find people to fill positions....crazy!

Ditto the above. I registered when I started locuming 2yrs ago although never actually ended up using and agency as I found all my own work but did it just in case I was stuck. They never once called me during the time I was a locum. Since I've been back in permananet work, they regularly lkeave messages on my mobile and this week it has peaked - a grand total of 19 messages from 4 different people repeatedly, despite me calling them and emailing to say I am no longer locuming. A couple of months ago they even managed to phone and offer me a vacancy I had previously left and had already forwarded my cv without my consent. As I didn't leave on the best of terms, this proved pretty embarrassing for all parties. Absolutely SICK of them currently as it costs me to retrieve my voicemails but as theyir number is always marked "private" on my phone, I have to check in case it's from someone else.

It's not just me that they are harassing then! I got a job through them 4 years ago and there were major problems with the billing etc so I didn't ever use them again and I put a complaint in to them. They have started sending me text messages asking if I know of anyone who is available for work! I tried to reply with a text but it is an outgoing number only -shame.

I had a similar situation with a company l demanded to speak to a superviser and read them the riot act and informed them one more call and l would start harassment proceedings and takje legal advice l did not hear from them again. I think they also realised l meant it.

They contacted me a few times last week and asked the same thing. I think they are desperate at the moment a lot of jobs to fill in VN and VS positions.

Tell me about it! I again got in contact with about a year ago, then heard many horror stories and decided not to go with them - so NEVER worked for them!! For the past month they have phoned me every other day - spoke to someone yesterday and told them in no uncertain words to leave me alone!
