This is how I understand it -

If you have been off the list for more than 5 years or are returning to work after a period of more than 5 years, then you need to have supervised work for a certain number of hours before you can become registered. The list is no longer available to rejoin - you need to become registered. From 2010, all nurses will need to be on the register, as it will be legal. All nurses who qualified from 2003 are automatically on the register, unless they haven't paid their fees.

I think if memory serves me correct, if you lapse for a period of time(dont know how long) you automatically go onto the register when you re register........ , plus you have to do so many hours within a TP, but I dont know if that part is in place yet or not.

Contact RCVS they will know for def, unless someone on here know as I clearly dont ...lol
