&lt;p&gt;All vets/nurses I have seen lubricating ET tubes have used water soluble lubricating jelly (KY jelly). I haven&amp;#39;t observed use of any other lubricant although I know you can use medical grade silicon spray or sterile saline...&lt;/p&gt;
