Made me a stronger person as I'd never really been away for such a long time, made some good friends, saw interesting cases

Finding an agency is easy - i used a1 and gardner llewelyn but there are lots but avoid RIG (heard many horror stories about them). If your not fussy on the area you will find work within the week. I'm currently in full-time but not happy so phoned agencies and they said i could have something next week if i wanted it - so there is plenty there!! You also need to consider if you want short or long term locums - short are normally a couple weeks so means you move around a lot but does mean you seem plenty of different practices (you will live out of a suitcase!). Long term locums are anything from 1month onwards - i prefer this as it gives you a chance to settle into somewhere. Lots of decisions but i would say go for it!
All the best, let us know how you do x x
