Just a quick question, I have just caught my rabbit eating bluebells. I do not think he ate many, and I grabbed them off him when I caught him.

Kew gardens say " Bluebells contain toxic glycosides and humans can be poisoned if the
bulbs are mistaken for spring onions and eaten. Cattle, horses and dogs
have been reported to suffer digestive problems after eating bluebell
leaves."

I guess you'd better speak to your vet (why do these things always happen on a Friday evening?!?) and they may or may not have an idea of what to do - hopefully he'll just have a tummy upset but being a bunny they do have delicate tummies and would definitely get him seen! Hope he's alright.

Re: Rabbit ate Bluebells

Now I am extremely embarrassed..they were not blue bells they were forget me nots. Which are ok, so I am going to go away and learn some plants.
