&lt;p&gt;1500 divided by 12 = 125ml/hr&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;125 divided by 60 = 2.08ml/min&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2.08 x 20(drip factor) = 41 drips/min&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;60 divided by 41 = 1.5 drips per second&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt; 50ml x 20 = 1000ml&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1000 divided by 24( hrs) = 41.7ml/hr&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;41.7 divided by 60(min) = 0.69ml/min&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;0.7 x 20(drip factor) = 14 drips/min&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;60(sec) divided by 14 = 4.3 drips/sec&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Remember to put mls/mns/secs in your final equation, this is&amp;nbsp;maintenance rate, if twice maint just double it and for 12 hours just put 12 instead of 24, hope this helps x&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
