It's really nice and easy, same dose rate as sc, iv or im and just squirt under the tongue, uptake is similar to the other routes and efficacy is great.

Agree for older cats, and dental pain its good to try sub lingual bup.

Most recent research has suggested that NSAIDs in renal cats not actually shortening life span - I use Metacam for arthritic pain in my cat. However think in this case the teeth will be sorer than her joints!

Hi I personally would avoid any NSAID's in animals with renal issues. Onsior still has some excretion via the kidneys and recommendations are that it should be avoided in these animals unless absolutely nec and then very close monitoring should be undertaken.

I actually agree with Laura try buprenorphine sub-lingual it is amazing!!

How about buprenorphine, all the pain relief without the worry? Can't comment on onsior, sorry.
