Im after some advise on my cat, as we have a hit a wall in knowing what to do. I think some fresh perspective will be useful.
Dylan is 5 years old this April. He has a history of urethral obstruction. He has blocked twice. Its been a year

Re: anuria in cat

I had let him out yesterday all day and nothing passed.

Update- finally starting to sit in litter tray and show signs of wanting to go (48hrs since last wee) took him in to work, completly blocked up, put under GA and all muscles relaxed and bladder expressed. So its muscle spasming and stubborness making him not go. He is recovering now so yet to see what happens once he needs to wee again.

will be starting on dantrium and continuing on hypovase then. obviously no idea what came first, the not eating or the not weeing. But we shall see.

Re: anuria in cat

Could you try letting him out to see if he'll wee outside?

Re: anuria in cat

Thats a good thought....of course i dont know how to help that.....would that not make him urinate elsewhere? i guess it depends how his brain works..i'd love to read his mind just once!

Re: anuria in cat

Maybe getting his leg through his collar has frightened him especially if it happened in or near the litter tray??
