Like I said I didnt think the comment was snarky - and I didnt intend mine to be either. I dont know about anybody else but I get wary of just who is circulating on this site sometimes. Yes the new categories can take a bit of picking up - my first port of call was the Noah compendium (it has a list towards the front of the book) and neither am I questioning your qualification

This site seriously makes me think twice about posting, i was given my seminar and was asked to speak about the following drugs to a panel of non veterinary staff, i wrote down everything i knew and wanted help to exhaust my list, forgive me for being qualified and asking for help.

I was taken aback with the comment as i consider myself a good nurse, i am currently doing my teaching certifiacte and my critical care certificate. i have been qualified 12 years and in practice 18 years, i still learn something new everyday and still always ask for advice to improve my knowledge,

i asked for help with names of drugs in these catergories and those that dont think i know anything email me and i will send you the list i have written for myself and feel free to add on or comment on my abilities as a registered veterinary nurse which i take pride in saying and would never class myself as something i am not and worked extremely hard to achieve my qualification as everyone else.

thank you to those that have offered to help, i am very grateful and will email you to see if i can add anymore to my list.

maybe the poster of that comment was a little surprised a qualified nurse in practice didnt already have access to that information? I must admit I was. I still didnt take it as a snarky comment - it could have been anybody asking the question - remember Panorama

Ok maybe not yours but I'm not sure the relevance of asking if she was really a qualified nurse? Felt that was maybe insinuating something as it did not seem a relevant question to me.

I think you are reading too deeply into them. The OP's profile says she is an RVN in mixed practice. The answers are relevant to this. No cattiness was meant by me or, I suspect, anyone else. Indeed, the OP seems to have taken the comments as they were said/asked and has not taken offence and was grateful for the help.

Also, I noticed the previous comments seems a little catty? I thought it was not long ago that we all agreed to be a little less judgmental to each other? Actually does make me a little worried to ever post anything myself...

yes and have been for some time, they have all changed since i qualified, which was a long time ago, as i said in my last post i am currently doing my degree in education and have been asked to do a lecture on this subject so just wanted to extend my list and make sure ive got everything correct as ive been asked to teach a subject i am unfamiliar with.

thank you that was really helpful, i have a list from practice but needed to extend my list as im currently doing my teaching certificate and have a lesson on this subject next week so wanted to extend my knowledge esp with gsl as we dont have that many in practice.

if you go to www.noahcompendium.co.uk and type the classification in the search box, it will give you a list of all drugs in that classification, that the compendium contains.
