I used the collar on my dog and found it wored really well, my mum decised to use the spray on her bedding one day, she went to work as usual and when she came home both of our dogs had a poo party in the house (litterally skidding in poo), both are very clean dogs and wouldnt dream of messing in the house....... think it had a funny affect on them.

I thought the collars took about 2-4 weeks to build up to being effective? Seems od to have had similar reactions within days of putting them on!

Hey Nicky, I know it's typo's and not meant to be humorous but your post has made me giggle ...

..."do use a pug (woofity woof woof?) in or fireworks (boom, bang, fizz!)... I know you meant "plug in for fireworks" so am being a bit mean in pointing out your whoops, but the mental picture was quite a quirky one...! You can kick my butt now if you wanna!!!

I used a DAPcollar on my dog on 2 occasions when we went on holiday to help im settle and on both occasions he started barking at people which he never usually does. Do use a pug in or fireworks and that doesnt seem to affect him negatively but wouldnt use the collar again. Contacted ceva who couldnt offer much of an explanation except it might be making him more confident to felt he could bark?

It want the change of environment either as left the one on after we came home as a trial and he did same at home till took it off then back to normal within a day!!

I use scullcap and valerian and kalmaid tablets for him now for any stressy times such as fireworks, and also a thundershirt and these work a treat with no negative effects.

I once used a 'plug in' on an anxious dog and he started to shred his bed. Turned it off and he stopped shredding beds so tried Scullcap and Valerian tablets and Valerian compound and this made him calmer.
