Ah ok thanks guys so do you all find that synoquin is the better of the 2? & wobbliebob I'm assuming your dogs on it permantly - do you guys find many practices will dispense out the packs of 120capsules as my practice were on about ones they do in packs of 30 with him on 3 a day for starters x

our client is also with petplan. We have another client with Animal Friends who isnt so lucky.

Hi my flat coat is insured with pet plan and has been on synoquin for about 18m they have always paid for it. Also being on synoquin means I hardly ever have to use pain relief I find it very effective. Also vet plus the makers of synoquin give cards out and if you collect 6 stickers(one from each lg box) you get one box free

I know some will but now which to go with because I don't want to have to muck him about by trialing 1 & then going onto the other x

some insurance companies will - we have a client who claims for their cosequin and the insurance covers it

Yeah I mean he's a young ish dog & me & the vets don't think he's in actual pain yet but arthritis is beginning to show when we saw the x-rays but we don't yet want to put him on any painkillers its just both I know are highly reccomended & when I spoke to petplan either the day or day after he was diagnosed they said they would NOT cover any prescription diets outright as a definite no but not sure on the others so I am just debating which to go with if they don't as cost would be a majoring factor & it's just confusing as I've had 2 differing opinions x

Im sure they would cover joint supplements on insurance, we have definitely claimed on seraquin for clients in past, and especially with you being Petplan I would definitely look into it. Just with regards to the joint supplements I have to strongly recommend yumove, use it in my dog who has mild arthritis and it worked so well I was able to take her off the NSAIDs, she is only on yumove for the moment and does great! :)

I have known Pet Plan to cover a prescription diet, such as JD and hydrotherapy sessions. Why not just give them a call and ask what would be covered by your policy?
