The dog picked it up, I managed to get it off him and checked it over for injuries but couldnt

Re: Rescue Seabird Help

Unfortunately he died that night :( I'm guessing either from shock or some kind of illness/internal injury as I couldn't see anything obviously physically wrong with him.
Obv it would be ideal to get food and fluids into it, but without cropfeeding it I suspect it is unlikely to eat overnight (if it is a seabird it will be used to fish that wriggles in water remember) but by all means put something fishy in with it if you have it!

It's not wet is it? As in, it may have lost its waterproofing? Or covered in odd bits of fluff, like it's a fledgling or recently / currently moulting?

Sorry, we do HAVE guillemots but they seem to do alright and are rarely brought in for us to treat! My first resort would be to crop-feed a weak bird but see how it is in the morning and if it is still about get it into a wildlife rescue if you can find one - good luck!!
