We've recieved a T-piece with an APL valve attached which is the first time I've encountered this. Does anybody know if this addition causes resistance within the circuit and if there is a minimum weight limit associated with its use? I always

Re: APL on T-piece

great, thank you - this is exactly what I needed to know !

Re: APL on T-piece

you are right to question it as adding valves will increase resistance, however don't worry, these are specially designed low resistance valves and also normally have a safety pressure release valve to allow gas to escape out of the APL valve even if it is left closed when the pressure exceeds a set limit.

It still has a circuit factor of 2.5 and functions in the same way, on exactly the same size small furries as you have been using your t-pieces but IPPV is easier.

Hope this helps
