I am a UK nurse who is currently working in Australia.
My practice has just purchased a multi-monitor (NIPB/ECG/pulse ox etc). None of the other nurses have ever used one before, and are not familiar with ECG traces. I'm trying to find some

Re: ECG

Hi Katie,

Charlotte pace is very good, and her stuff is worth looking at.

Alternativly if you were looking for a book Mike MArtin's book on small animal ecg's is very good, starts basic, as basic as what is an ecg all the way up to the complicated scary stuff, when new nurses start here they all get given it to read. You can buy it direct form us for £21 (I work at Martin referrals ) you would just need to pay postage.

or here's good old amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Small-Animal-ECGs-Introductory-Guide/dp/1405141603

I did a series of 4 articles for VNT a while back - a kind of crash course for VNs on electrocardiography. I could send them onto you if you think they'd be of any use..

Interestingly enough, they're both by Charlotte Pace - she's a really good teacher, she's done work for us as well and in fact has just signed on at our Potters Bar centre as a full time lecturer. :)

So while I don't know anything about the delivery of the content at the above sites, I can certainly vouch for Charlotte!

Cheers,
