So is it the general consensus that hibi is better? And is it based on many studies or pretty much this one?

We used the Medichem versions of hibi for years until the Medichem rep called by one day and convinced us to use Medidine (iodine scrub) instead. However, if science suggests otherwise we would change back again.

There are studies (human) to show that 2% Chlorhexidine combined with 70% IPA can (if applied correctly) give a residual action for 48 hours.

hibiscrub has a residual effect and i'm sure studies hahve been done to prove it has a much better antimicrobal effect. Contact the manufactures, i'm sure they can send you some info.
