Hi Louise,

I was a member of CABSTG for a couple of years or so but cancelled my membership around 2 years ago. I think the idea of CABSTG is good and I would be keen to see it developed further but at the moment I don't think it really offers any real value to Veterinary Nurses - either in terms of resources/ support or kudos/credibility for being a member. I felt my limited funds were better off spent elsewhere.

The reasons why I cancelled were:

- They forced members to subscribe to the Journal of Clinical Veterinary Behaviour and that made membership very expensive.

- You got very little back for being a member - the forum wasn't very active and there are limited resources offered to members - so I was left wondering what I was paying for.

- I seem to recall that the adminstration / membership stuff was poorly handled / disorganised but I cannot remember for the life of me what it was that annoyed me so much at the time. I do know the membership secretary was new to the role at that stage though so it was probably teething problems.
