However, my lecturer at college says its schedule 3 from the information she has obtained from Google and her own notes

Re: Ketamine Schedule?

Amy Homer. Maybe stick one of these under your tutors nose. As an incidental has anybody else noticed you now cant fax an order for some of the scheds on there and the order has to be posted - which imo is going to be a real pain in the a*s* if you dont carry a lot of stock ( like whoops sorry dog I know you are sore but we cant get vetergesic till the postie has delivered this and they decide to send it out) and I know this isnt Dunlops fault before anybody says anything.

Re: Ketamine Schedule?

[quote user="emvn80"]Without being rude, I would politely suggest to your tutor that not everything you read on the Internet is true!!
I was thinking the same! Why did she use Google when there are books you can trust with the infomation in?!

Re: Ketamine Schedule?

Ketamine is a schedule 4 controlled drug, you are right. However due to the potential for abuse/misuse the RCVS recommend that not only is it kept in a locked cupboard but it's use is recorded.

Without being rude, I would politely suggest to your tutor that not everything you read on the Internet is true!! You only have to look at wikipaedia to see that! ;-)Also depending what she was looking at the US controlled drug schedules are slightly different to ours.

You can use the homeoffice website to clarify controlled drug legislation although it goes into a LOT of completed detail... I thought this RCVS guideline was a lot more straightforward!
