I'm starting at a new practice next week and they use the Humphrey ADE circuit, does anyone have any information they could send me over so I can read up in flow rates and general use etc?

My email is laurawright_1983@hotmail.com

If you look on dr. H's website they do say you can use much lower flow rates then this but haven't quite got the guts to use 0.3 litres for a cat yet !!! LOVE the ADE, its amazing if you have to do IPPV cos of the magic red button!!

We had an ADE at my previous practice and were the same, we were never brave enough to use such low flow rates, plus we didn't trust our flow metre to be accurate enough at such low levels. Loved the circuit though, wish we had them at my current practice.

Re: Humphrey ADE circuit

We only have HADEs. We use 0.6m litre flow rate with 0.5 litre bag for cats or dogs under 4kg, 1 litre flow rate and 1 litre bag for dogs 5-20kg and 1.5 litre rate with 2 litre bag for anyhting over 20kg 9 unless its an irish wolf hound ha ha ha ).
