My two boys have a love-hate relationship. They are brothers and Asian/Burmese, so very territorial even with each other.

Re: somethings changed....

well, it looks like things are settling down, caught them grooming each other so hopefully things are back to normal now :-)

I knew of a cat that could see a cat in "his" garden (whilst indoors) and redirected his aggression to his owner by attacking her when she walked past.

Re: somethings changed....

I have two female cats who are now 13yo. last summer they were both outside the front door of my house when the neighbourhood tom cat came over and started a fight, during this fight it would appear that the tom and one of my cats ganged up on the other and gave her a bit of a thrashing.

this ended up with the victim cat hissing and growling at the other and at one point she urinated with fright on just seeing the other come into the same room. I put the naughty one in the kitchen and kept them apart for a few days before gradually introducing them. they settled back within a week, being able to sit in the same room as each otehr, but were not best friends again until a few weeks after that.

they are now back to sitting with each other and grooming each other etc so hopefully if something traumatic like that has gone on with your wee cats they will get over it and kiss and make up.

Re: somethings changed....

It might be worth seeing if Feliway helps them sort things out. I had a client try it for stress related urinary problems for their cat. She came downstairs a few days later and found her cat that normally hated all other cats sat quite happily in the kitchen with a couple of the neighbours cats.
