Thanks for all the advice and help. Managed to get her in her harness and in her box and into work yesterday. She had calmed down a little bit by yesterday. After being checked over by my boss there was nothing on examination and when I went home at lunch she was fine with me. She has been started on Zylkene as of yesterday but she is already a lot better. The builder has been and gone so things are slowly returning to normal.

She was just having a funny few days.

Thanks again.

might sound daft but do you have a problem with static electricity from your clothes or yourself or even your carpet? - one of my cats will turn into a hissy scratchy bitey monster over this.

[/quote]

I've had problems with static electricity in the past, my neighbours cat used to always come in, and didn't appreciate it when I stoked her and gave her a shock.
When I first got my cat he used to do a simular sort of thing to me. I got him from work when his previous owners wanted him put to sleep as he apparently bites (I later found out it was because there were moving and didn't want to take him with them). He ended up staying at work for nearly two weeks whilst we were waiting for the CPL to come and collect him, which didnt happen in the end and I ended up taking him home. He was very good to start with, but towards the end of the two weeks he started to get very annoyed at having to be in a kennel so much and got a bit funny with us. When I took him home he was fine with everyone else, but to start with he would actually go for me whenever I came home from work and still had my uniform on. He was horrible until I had changed, and I assume, smelled less of the vets. Whenever he went back there he was also horrible - you couldn't get him out of a kennel once you had put him in one, and if you managed to inject him without him going for someone it was a miracle. Since I have changed practice we have had no problems with him at the vets. Could there be something that has happened that you cat is associating with something such as a scent when she attacks you?

Re: grumpy cat!

might sound daft but do you have a problem with static electricity from your clothes or yourself or even your carpet? - one of my cats will turn into a hissy scratchy bitey monster over this.

Re: grumpy cat!

what's confusing is she is fine, will let me stroke her when she comes to me. and then she'll turn on me. she's under the sofa that is her safe place and I've left her to herself . going to try and get her to work tomorrow. even if it is for a break from the work

Re: grumpy cat!

Maybe the building work has upset her?
