I know its a human rather than animal product but failing everything else have you tried 'ensure'

i use this when i cant get entralcare its availiable over the counter at larger chemists, comes i chicken or vanilla flavours (i figure the flavour does not matter as its going down a tube. if i remember correctly it is a bout 1kcal per ml.

the prob with liquivite is that it only contains 50Kcal per 100ml so you need mahoooosive amounts to fill BER
The problem with liquivite is it blocks in the holes at the end of the tubes.

Royal canin do convalescent which is a powder that you make up. It's reasonable priced, has good feeding guides, easy to make up, long shelf life and I've never seen it block the holes.

There is another one which used to come in a can made up but I think that one has stopped, sorry can't remember the name.
liquivite can block the tube true but so can convalesence you have to dilute it down even further than the "normal" dilution (even a RC rep has admitted this) so need to work out the calorie content per 100ml you make up

I think the food you might be thinking about is Fortol, and it has been stopped, and enteral care has taken over.

OP have you tried different wholesalers to get it in? and you are trying to get the MP aren't you? as the HP has been discontinued

Re: Feeding tubes
I use this 95% of the time
