We had a client at my old practice ask for their rads as they were emigrating and the dog had joint problems (can&amp;#39;t remember what), so they wanted to take rads with them incase needed by foreign vets. &lt;p&gt;they are medical records and need to be kept for 7 years, owners can pay to have them copied or they can be sent to a new practice for them to copy / look at but must be returned.&lt;/p&gt;

I have seen a hip xray ,dont think it was an actual hip score, brought in by a&amp;nbsp; breeder client to a practice in a postal tube!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;when one of my former bosses was asked his opinion his reply was &amp;#39; well it looks pretty&amp;nbsp; much buggared to me&amp;#39;&amp;nbsp; - he was referring to the state of the xray film not the hips on the xray. Sometimes we&amp;#39;ll hand the x-rays to the owner if they are going for a referral with the knowledge that the referral will post them back. &lt;/p&gt;
