 I have become the new Mum of a 2 days old guinea pig with a slightly deformed forelimb - the owner wanted it euthanasing and the vet wasn&amp;#39;t happy with that, got it signed over and now it has moved in with my brood!

&lt;p&gt;I have to say, it was a scary anaesthetic, but made a million times better by taping the Doppler blood pressure monitor to his chest before the op - could monitor throughout without having to touch and move him too much!&lt;/p&gt;

He is just over a month old and is due his surgery for forelimb amputation on Friday &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/new/Sad_smiley.png" alt="Sad" /&gt; Very worried about him but the skin is thinning on the area he uses so we have no choice.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Once all the surgery is done he will be staying with me, his little character is amazing and my partner and I just adore him. &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/new/Very_happy_smiley.png" alt="Big Smile" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
