Just wondering if anyone has any brilliant ideas! We have a dog undergoing tx for Demodex, he has had 1 Aludex bath and 2 lots of treatment with Advocate for demodex, unfortunately now we can't source Aludex (he was due at least another 3 baths

Re: Demodex - Aludex out of stock until end of Sept!

we got some aludex that was on back order in today so if you havent got any in try caling your supplyer again x

Re: Demodex - Aludex out of stock until end of Sept!

Hi we have used Aludex quite a lot in the past ( oh how i can smell it now!!) with very good results.

We have also used Advocate as well. To be honest our vets didn't like it and didn't think it worked as well.

We seemed to have resonable results with pro - meris duo spot on. Nothing will beat Aludex though.

We have recently gone back to using Aludex for Demodex too. Our skin specialist vet has started using it for severe cases cos Advocate etc is just not touching it.

Dunno where you can source any tho (unhelpful)

Just as a warning about Amitraz, one of our vets wee terrier cross had a ProMeris spot on applied & had a severe reaction to it. It caused severe bradycardia to the point she was convinced he was dead!! Very scary - so be aware!!
