My understanding is that rabbits can have twice as much Antisedan but we normally give the same amount and then give extra if bunny is slow to wake up.

for bunnies we did same dose antisedan as dom, half given im, half given iv - worked well.

maybe it was 1.5 times as much, been so bloody long since I did a rabbit sedation. I'm sure it wasn't in the formulary, but came from a rabbit-loving vet (he was the guy we went to with our bunny issues!) I'll try and double check that one, so don't quote me lol!

I should think it's probably an excitation thing like if you give cats morphine. The lower dose probably reduces this from happening but still reverses the medetomidine?
