eg. 0.14ml dom and 0.07ml antisedan??
When dogs have the same dose of each??
thank you x

Re: Antisedan in Cats

Ah yes, thats it! I knew I had heard it somewhere

Cats are half the dose, dogs are full, rabbits are twice as much - in terms of antiseden

I assumed it was something to do with the "half life" of domitor/metatomidine, maybe its shorter in cats so the amount of reversal you need is less.

Call your rep, they'll know for sure!

Never given rabbits twice as much antisedan to domitor. Where does that come from?

My understanding is that rabbits can have twice as much Antisedan but we normally give the same amount and then give extra if bunny is slow to wake up.

Re: Antisedan in Cats

for bunnies we did same dose antisedan as dom, half given im, half given iv - worked well.

Re: Antisedan in Cats

maybe it was 1.5 times as much, been so bloody long since I did a rabbit sedation. I'm sure it wasn't in the formulary, but came from a rabbit-loving vet (he was the guy we went to with our bunny issues!) I'll try and double check that one, so don't quote me lol!

Re: Antisedan in Cats

[quote user="BengalcatRVN"]
