My goal was to then do the Sparsholt College top up degree in animal behaviour. This is why I chose this course above the COAPE course.
I now learnt that the ASAB

Re: Working in behaviour

U have heard back from the APBC and they gave me Newcastle Uni details, who offer specific modules if your degree is lacking in any content.

I have heard back from the UKRCB who are very spympathetic and have advised me to do the Sparsholt top up degree still, and assured me that I should persevere.

After me ranting in all these emails I sent out many high up people have got back to me and been very understanding and helpful and taken the time to look into my situation and advise. This is encouraging and I am very grateful to them.

Re: Working in behaviour

I just had a peek at the abtcouncil website. They didn't specify courses but just said make sure that you check the course acccredited before you sign up and check with the behavioural organisation you want to become a member of to ensure they accept that course.

I have now e-mailed the ASAB, UKRCB, CFBA, APBC and a behaviourist that is head of education for the UKRCB so I really hope I get some clarity soon!

Re: Working in behaviour

Have you tried these people? http://www.abtcouncil.org.uk/ - ASAB, COAPE and APBC are all founder members.

They're a new regulatory body for behaviourists. I would have thought if anyone could say which degree was best it should be them.
