Exam on Tuesday!

Hiya,
I have my practical exam on Tuesday and I just wanted to check with everyone the correct units for
Tidal Volume Minute Volume Fresh Gas Flow
and does the Fresh gas flow need to be in l or ml?

The tidal volume is in mls, the minute volume is mls/min, and i'm pretty sure the final fresh gas flow is in litres, but if you work out mls, write it down and then convert to litres you have covered all bases! Please let me know if this is incorrect! Good luck !!

Re: Units for Tidal Volume, Minute Volume and Fresh Gas Flow!
so say for example, cat weighed 4kg, bpm 20, her tidal volume is 10ml/kg and CF is 2.5 (Ayres t-piece)

TIdal volume = 4 x 10 = 40mls

Minute volume= 40 x 20 = 800 mls

Fresh gas flow = 800 x 2.5 = 2000mls

Can i just get away with putting it in mls all the time, i don't need like mls/kg/hr???

Re: Units for Tidal Volume, Minute Volume and Fresh Gas Flow!
Tidal volume = 15ml/kg <10 or 10ml/Kg >10Kg

Minute volume = tidal volume x breaths per minute

Fresh gas flow = minute volume x circuit factor

and i dont think it matters if you put the answer in liters on ml, as long as its correct :)

Hope ive helped xx
