Have a client with a lovely 12 year old cat who he just can't pill.
The cat is actually in this morning, was due for a thyroidectomy, but vet decided against it after the

Re: Hyperthyroid help please :)

Hi,

Just saw your message and wondered if you'd tried putting the felimazole tablet in a small piece of Vivitreat.I know they are normally used for dogs, but I've got a hyperthyroid cat who's really difficult to tablet and he loves Vivitreats. He thinks he's getting just a treat twice a day-he's a bit dopey!!

Anyway,we've tried it with other cats and a friend's cat and they love them too. It's worth a try.

Hope it helps

Re: Hyperthyroid help please :)

Saying that, we have a client that Crushes Vidalta's and his cat is responding very well! He is an old man and the cat is a crazy feral, so he had no alternative as felimazole's did'nt have the required effect. I'm not advocating Crushing Vidalta's but for this lucky client, it has worked...

If you're able to get a license for it, tapizole is used in liquid form in the states. I've used it myself and is much easier than pilling cats.
