Just a note on this!

You should use Vitamin K1 only if this is a rodenticide induced coagulpoathy which I assume it may be?

The other forms of vitamin K need metabolic activation and so will probably not work in this instance as the enzyme that needs the vitamin K1 is vitamin K1 epoxide reductase.

The lack of Vitamin K1 for the last year or so has been a nightmare.

Stocks are available in extremis via our newly launched ToxBox scheme (see the VPIS website www.vpisuk.co.uk)

The problems with the French tablet forms are the tablet strength. I think some companies are looking to take over manufacture in the UK - or the importing at any rate.

I'll endeavour to post further news on this on the site!

OK?

Alex

ps. If you want to discuss this further please email me at alex.campbell@gstt.nhs.uk

i've only done one order so far with them but so far so good!

i had to restrain myself at congress when i saw them!! i wanted to kiss them!! i'd had a lot of faffing around with Idis so Summitwas a breeze!!

Re: Konakion 10mg tablets!

Funny you should mention summit, they're always popping in but I thought they looked a bit fishy!
i spoke to a company called Summit at congress and they are looking into it!! so fingers crossed they'll come up with something!

summit are great for getting the obscure dugs - they've just got cisapride!! nice and easy to order - no faffing with VMD certs!

Re: Konakion 10mg tablets!

Oooh, I had a rep in here few weeks ago with a konakion replacement, might have been Animalcare?
