We've just been using the injectable for SA patients - I think the dose is something like 0.05 - 0.25 per pup sublingial - I think its in the formulary.

We have been using a fair bit to be honest - mixed practice and lots of lambings!!

guess no one knows if there is an alternative? different country, company etc. normally is for most things.

Snap! Hate it when there are drugs you have to keep in 'just in case' but you very rarely use so just get binned.

same here- just binned some and tried to reorder it and found it out of stock so ordered the injectable instead. i didnt know you could ude it the same way as the drops!

we only use it for caesar pups and kitts, under the tongue, or i have given a needle full iv through the umbilical cord.

I just use a drop of the injectable. It is easier to have the dropper bottle if you use on a reg basis, but the inj would tide you over.

Hmm, odd. We were trying to find out how much of the injectable to use under the tongue, what do you guys use? We probable use more than most places as most of the stuff we have come in is emergency cases.

there have been manufacturing issues with dopram in the past - maybe there isnt the demand for a constant production and they stop once they have so much stockpiled?

Hmm hadn't heard about that. But we have the injection to drop on the tongue instead rather than keeping both in stock, can't remember the last time I needed to use it so keeping both in it just went out of date and got wasted!
