oh dear... I've had to reinstall internal explorer onto mine, the ble forum didn't seem to like firefox... but it's all working now!

Re: RVC Fundimentals of Anaesthesia course

thanks to this course i have decided i hate my laptop! hehe!

Re: RVC Fundimentals of Anaesthesia course

i'm doing the course too and it's been a while since i did any studying so i'm a bit rusty, had a few initial tears due to computer problems but touch wood getting the hang of it now,

Re: RVC Fundimentals of Anaesthesia course

hope its a quiet night for you.

Its quite scary the stuff you do just because thats how you do it ie Hartmanns twice maintance for 99% of cases without actually stopping to think, hummm is this the best for this animal.

The course has certainly got the old grey matter working! hehe!

Re: RVC Fundimentals of Anaesthesia course

I'm surprised at how much knowledge has stuck in the 5 years since I was studying, but it's also scary the stuff I can't remember like the cardiac equations etc etc...

I'm really sad, so I come into work when I'm not working and do some of the course then, I'm on night duty tonight, so all being well I'll do a little tonight too...

I'm trying to get my head around the potassium, sodium and calcium balance and the effects on the heart...

And the fluids - it's weird thinking about individual cases that in practice you would just put on hartmanns anyway!

Re: RVC Fundimentals of Anaesthesia course

I'm doing it too!
But it seems that all the nurses were waiting til today, as they are going crazy on there!

There's only 13 of us on the course.

Re: RVC Fundimentals of Anaesthesia course

Yes think so, she only started Weds so missed initial lecture as late enrolling.
It seems to be a really good course, what we've been doing so far. Lots of IT problems from people though, although they seem to be getting sorted too...
