&lt;p&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="color:#1f497d;"&gt;It&amp;#39;s fairly expensive though and I think it&amp;#39;s better to go with what we all know in ops. I have memorised the dosages.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="color:#1f497d;"&gt;I&amp;#39;m keen to stick with&amp;nbsp;Norbrook&amp;#39;s Vetofol as during&amp;nbsp;the recent shortage they did have the guaranteed supply, also I&amp;#39;ve heard that&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="color:#1f497d;"&gt; Vetofol can be used in very young cats and dogs&amp;nbsp;and for C-sections unlike the new&amp;nbsp;Abbotts porduct&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I know a couple of you have mentioned it but I can confirm that there are no stock issues with Vetofol and Norbrook are able to supply. Production has been increased to meet demands for Vetofol during this time where we appear to be the only propofol available.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Details of vetofol are available from the norbrook sales team or in our compendium. We aren&amp;#39;t in the Noah compendium but have our own which is available from the sales team as well.&lt;/p&gt;

We are a cat-only clinic and get plenty of fractious and scared cats in. Alfaxan has been extremely good. We had used Propofol and even went into Propoclear but both still had that problem of the hyper phase if induction wasnt smooth and still obviously very stingy for the cats.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Alfaxan seems much smoother, much better recovery and much larger window for error. They seem to come round from GA&amp;#39;s very nicely and no stingy affect.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Still get the odd cat that jumps but I feel a bit of intubeaze sprayed onto the area before the needle does wonders!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We are now (once remaining stocks have been used) using Vetofol from Norbrook. they have told us they expect no problems with manufacture of supply. They seem to only come in small quantities though (20mls as opposed to the usual 50ml/100ml of Propoclear).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I rarely have seen this in animals, had 1 today tho, complete with IV line (was on fluids). Not a very busy clinic, but even then....had anyone else seen it sting? Seen Alafxen used a couple of times at another clinic, used in cat spays, no pre-med used (apparently you don&amp;#39;t have to with it? That&amp;#39;s what the vet said) didn&amp;#39;t like the wake up, never seen animals shake so bad for years!
