Thanks

Re: MRI

I will pick brains and let you know on mon what the opinion is at work. I take it you are wanting to find degree of damage and a definative diagnosis

Glad to hear she is doing well and has put weight back on

Re: MRI

Hi Steph, yes that would be great if you can pick some brains for me

We were taking bloods for a while, but my vet advised doing a protien creat ratio would give more info as to the damage of the glomerulus, this was within normal limits, which means that even though she has damage it is not that bad that she is leaking proteins, which is a good thing. prot crea ratio results 0.05 upro 1.02 crea.

I also read a good few months ago that feeding a pro biotic can reduce the crea at gut level, apparently they do this in human CRF patients, so she gets this daily along with her renal diet., vit b tab and hepatosyl.

Her last bloods which were a few months back in nov were Urea-21.8 her highest being off scale) Crea- 295.(highest...hm cant remember, just know it was very very high, highest my vet had seen in a dog that was still alive.

She is currently very bright bouncy and to look at you would not think there was anything wrong with her. She has put all the weight back on that she lost, she went down to 31kg, and is now back to a healthy looking 38kg. Her pics are in the gallery, she is the bigger of the 2.Those photos were taken just before x mas.

Re: MRI

I think we would normally CT them rather than MRI but dont quote me on that.

How are her parameters doing these days?

I think we would recommend CT then biopsy to get a definative diagnosis, but can pick brains at work on monday if you want me to.
