I've recently rescued a 10 week old felmale buuny and am obviously going to get her spayed! They have been introduced twice now (neutral place, and only for short periods) and he is tring to mate

Re: Bonding rabbits!

Thanks for the replies, she's fine (I haven't left them in together). I guess i'll have to bite the bullet and get him done aswell

Had a friend who only got the female neutered and the male would continue to hump her all the time so had to get him done aswell.

Re: Bonding rabbits!

Ditto above, your really need to get them both done!

By far the best pairing is a neutered girl/boy pair

She'll be getting quite stressed by now if he continues to mount her - bless her!

Re: Bonding rabbits!

I think he will continue to pester her till he is castrated and this may cause fights. I would get him done at a practice used to GAing bunnies but bear in mind he will still be fertile for a few weeks after. Just be careful as bunnies can get pregnant very early, dependant on her size I would get her spayed at 4-5 months of age if they are being put together.
