You know as a BVNA member you get the same discount as a BSAVA member! So that makes the book 56 quid! Still a bit but cheaper than 85 quid

The first module started in September so still very new to the course. Going by the first module its well written and there are test questions as you go, before completing the end assignments. I've heard some good things about the course, mainly from Vets Now nurses as I think they were the first intake. On the www.vetecc.com forum there are a few nurses on there who are doing/have done the course already so I got a lot of information through there before enrolling.

Agree Kerry they are pretty pricey! I'm starting the ECC certificate with Vets Now and apparently don't need to buy too many (if all all) in the way of books, but would like maybe one decent one for reference. Might have to keep scouring Ebay!!

The one the OOH clinic I worked at previously used, and the one now used by the OOH staff at my current practice is 'Kirk and Bistner's Handbook of Veterinary Procedures and Emergency Treatment'.

Hi Maisy,

I like the 'Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care for Veterinary Technicians' by Andrea Battaglia. It's aimed at American technicians, so a bit more in depth than some of the UK stuff. Most current one is the 2nd Ed which has lots of nice pictures too!
