Hi Nick,

Freelance Surgical have sorted us with blades. They are the UK and Irish supplier for Securos saws so all sorted. One of their reps is coming over to the practice next week. Thanks for all your help with it. Im sure Ill be back on soon with another query for you. Off to Myerscough Monday to start Dip HE CVN so Im sure Ill have lot of questions.

Hi Nick,

Sorry for the late reply. I will take some photos and send them to you. I think I found a supplier in the UK for an 18mm blade.

I checked online and Freelance Surgical seem to do them for securos saws. I will give them a ring in the morning and confirm. Im still looking for a 15mm blade so will try and send you photos asap.

Can you get me some photos of the place where your blades attach or even the base of your current blades so I see if they are the same as the ones we used to have!

Hi Nick,

Many thanks for the replies and for the searching. The problem is that if we go for a different blade other than securos we have to buy a separate hub to attach the blade to the saw. They seem to be costing on average 400 dollars.

I have found a surgical supplier in the States where we can get a 18mm blade that fits our saw but am still looking for the other sizes.

Didn't take me long!!!

Vet instrumentation do titanium blades in the sizes you want at £155 each! BUT they only fit the slocum TPLO saw!

Right just 'googled' the type of saw you got it's much like a minous spinal burr? but with an attachment for attachment of Slocum blades? If this is the case then the VI titanium blades should fit ok

We had all these blades where I used to work! but can't for the life of me remember where we got them from.......
